New Rule For Competitors
by Rick Anderson
One of the recent trends the Worlds Best Athlete International Skills Competition has experienced is the person who just wants to come out and try a skill or two and not do the entire ‘circuit‘ of ten skills at one time.
Our goal at the Worlds Best Athlete is to get as many people involved to any extent possible and although we encourage people to try the full circuit at once we are definately happy to configure our program as many ways as possible.
Rule Change
Athletes are able to compete in any single event with that score being sanctioned and the overall score being sanctioned provided all other events are completed within two weeks of the first Skill being tested.
We understand that not everyone has 4-5 hrs (for a small group...1-2 hrs for single) to do the entire circuit at one shot so this rule helps those who are pressed for time finish up the entire circuit of 10 events within a specified time frame.
Serious consideration was given to the suggestion that someone who completes the Circuit in this fashion has an advantage over someone who does all 10 Skills at once.
Since the Worlds Best Athlete International Skills Competition is not a Skills Competition that measures cardio (other than the Skipping Event), we determined that there would be no unfair advantage for the single competitor over the athlete who starts and completes all Events in a lesser time frame.
